I didn’t say it’s all the rage – i think it’s a year old – but I would say that Wale (Wall-eh) is pretty much the biggest DC musician right now. And go go – my god, the kids love the go go. But c’mon – pat your weave? If that isn’t a chorus, what is?

As someone married to a Canadian who devotedly listens to CBC Radio 3, it IS surprising you’ve never heard Caribou before. His 2007 record won the first Polaris Music Prize in 2007.

I did enjoy it, it’s something I’ll re-read over the years! I agree, I don’t know how they will stay intact, at least in the Western World. Maybe a big miracle performed by the Pope will make the head lines go away.
